Patient Resources

Your first appointment

What to expect

At 490 Post Street #900 the physicians and staff take their time to get to know each individual patient's needs and goals. It is important that you fill out our questionnaire so that your doctor can fully understand your medical background. During your first appointment, your doctor will typically obtain a complete history of your injury, as well as perform a physical exam. If you have any recent diagnostic imaging (x-rays, MRIs, etc.), they will also review those images and reports with you.

Once the pertinent information for your injury is gathered, your doctor will discuss your treatment options and together, choose a treatment plan to maximize your recovery and fits with your active lifestyle. While surgery may be an eventual option, the doctors at this location typically believe in exhausting conservative care where appropriate before considering surgery.  Depending on your condition, this could include physical therapy, medications, injections, acupuncture, chiropractics and other activities.

Should you need surgery, your surgeon should answer all your questions and concerns. Their staff can guide you through the scheduling process, as well as help with insurance issues.
