Diagnostic testing

Our board certified orthopaedic surgeons and physicians specialize in sports medicine, including neck, shoulder, low back and knee injuries. Depending on your condition, your physician may order diagnostic imaging and tests to assess your injury. These are tools that help the doctor narrow down the causes of your injury and ensure that your diagnosis is accurate by allowing the doctor to see images of the bones, muscles, tendons, nerves and cartilage inside your body. These tests may include:

  • x-rays

  • Computed Tomography (CT) scan

  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRIs)

  • Electromyogram (EMG) / Nerve Conduction Study (NCS)
