Keith R. says...

"Dr Colyvas, and his whole team of professionals, where absolutely outstanding! As the result of a shoulder injury sustained while doing my job, Fire Captain, I was experiencing daily pain, taking huge amounts of Motrin, and finally had no choice but to be seen. Dr Colyvas consulted with me at length, gave me all the information I needed to make a solid decision, I opted for surgery. The surgery went extremely well, rehab went just as well, "Team Colyvas" was with me every step of the way. It was 10 months from start to finish, the pain is completely gone, and I've regained full motion and strength of the shoulder. I'm back on the job, serving the citizens of my community, and it's all because Dr Colyvas is a very talented physician!"

Kaj D. says...

"I went to Dr. Kim after an accident that caused severe lower back pain and shooting pain down my right leg. She carefully explained the likely root cause, an L5/S1 and/or L4/L5 herniated disc. An MRI confirmed her first diagnosis: It was both L5/S1 and L4/L5. Dr. Kim then explained my options w.r.t. surgery, without in any way trying to push me into it. Since the pain had subsided, I decided wait. Sure enough, the pain returned after a few months. I contacted Dr. Kim again. After a quick examination we scheduled a microdiscectomy as soon as possible. Surgery itself went smooth and I was able to walk out of the hospital feeling great, just as Dr. Kim had predicted. I am now four months into recovery and feeling great. Very grateful to Dr. Kim."

"I went to see Dr. LaRoque for shoulder pain that had been bothering me for a few years and had recently escalated to become majorly limiting in my day-to-day life. I immediately liked her and felt very comfortable with her. She spent a lot of time with me, talked through a number of options, and let me decide on the course of action after completely educating me. I never felt rushed and was totally at ease taking my time and asking lots of questions. Ultimately, Dr. LaRoque performed surgery on my shoulder, and my results have been amazing. I only wish I had seen her sooner. I have told multiple people that Dr. LaRoque is the best doctor of any kind I have ever seen, and I really believe that. Her staff is also amazing, and the entire process was seamless. I'm moving to the east coast soon but will definitely come back to California to see Dr. LaRoque if I have any similar injuries or concerns in the future. She really is the best!"

"I have nothing, but good things to say about Dr. Smolins.  His knowledge, demeanor, work ethic and diligence are far beyond what I've come to expect from most medical professionals.  He asked detailed questions, listened to my answers and then asked additional questions based on the information I provided.  It was a rare instance where I had an actual conversation rather than getting hit with the same 10 questions every doctor seems to ask then a cookie-cutter remedy.  He and his office have twisted themselves into pretzels to accomdate me and ensure I receive the proper care.  I would recommend Dr. Smolins to anyone at anytime."

Justin B. says...

"It's been over 5 years since I had dislocated my shoulder at a heavy metal concert (yes, I learned my lesson.) After having it painfully re-dislocate a few times each year since then, I finally had the smarts to get it taken care of. In comes Dr. Colyvas and his big, magical doctor brain. Everything since then has been quick and easy. The surgery went smoothly and I was in-and-outout. Everybody at both of their offices - here in San Francisco as well as in Campbell, have been nothing but professional and communicative. My shoulder is now stable and I'm well on my way to being the cliffhanger I've always dreamed of. If you have any doubts...stop. Just make an appointment. You can thank me later."

"Dr Youjeong performed a L4/L5 and L5/S1 microdiscectomy on me last year (approximately 9 months ago now) and I am as good as new.  This was my third surgery to that region which made it much more complicated for her; however, I have to say this has been the best recovery yet.  I am biking, running, and swimming already and feel great.  She also has really great bedside manner keeping me informed through the entire experience.  She is conservative in nature which gave me a lot of comfort going in, but glad I chose Dr. Youjeong for this surgery.  I hope I never need this surgery again, but if I do, I know where to go."

Kentaro M. says...

"Getting my ACL reconstructed by Dr. LaRoque was the best healthcare experience I've ever had. I researched a number of surgeons in the Bay Area, and after meeting with Dr. LaRoque and a more famous nationally-ranked surgeon, I decided on Dr. LaRoque. Dr. LaRoque was very caring from the get-go and took the time to listen to everything I had to say. She gave me a number of options based on my age, activity level, and desire to get back to performing sports at a high-level. We decided to go with an ACL reconstruction surgery with a hamstring autograft, but there was never any pressure to do so. Dr. LaRoque is a surgeon who performs at a superior level. In terms of the surgery, there were no complications, swelling went down quickly (no drainage required), and there was no nerve damage. This result was much better than a number of friends who have had the same surgery with other surgeons."

"Great doctor. Dr. Smolins is an extremely knowledgeable and patient doctor. We have not found a cure for my degenerative disc disease and herniated disc yet after months of treatment, but he has walked me step by step through the whole process of what can be done and lets me to come to my own decisions on the next course of action and what my options are. He makes sure and gives you more than one opportunity to ask any questions and you will never feel rushed."
